At Christ Church

Music at Christ Church is led by Simon Hancock and Barbara Griffiths.

Weekly Music

The church's worship is led by the band and singers at the 9.30 Sunday service. The 11.00 service has more traditional music, from the organ and piano. Music at the evening service at 6.30 is band-led worship

The styles of music that we sing and play is very varied, ranging from favourite traditional hymns to the best of contemporary worship songs. The musicians aim to help the congregation to worship God by giving clear leadership, guidance and encouragement.

Choir Pieces

We sometimes sing pieces to the congregation when introducing new songs, or simply to give opportunity for reflection.

Band

The band covers an excellent breadth of instrumentalists, ranging from rock to classical, assisting the worship in lively or meditative mood.

Special Services

We celebrate Christmas and Easter with special services. Extra singers from the congregation join us for those occasions, although new singers and players are welcome at any time.
