New Clergy Member
Welcome to Reverend Helen Durant-Stevensen who has joined St Johns as the new Associate Vicar. She was licensed on 14th July.
 
Christ Church Mugs
are available to purchase £3 each or 2 for £5.00. All proceeds will go to the Church.
The Parish Office
Will have variable opening times until the end of August depending on staff availablility. To avoid any disappointment, please ring to check if it is open before turning up.
CONFIRMATION
Confirmation classes for teenagers will continue in September after a summer break. Do speak to Stephen if you are interested in joining the classes. The confirmation service will be in the evening at St John's, Old Malden on Sunday 12th October.
Sermon Audio Downloads
Sermons from the 9.30, 11.00 and 6.30 services are now available in MP3 from the Services pages and previous months' from the Audio Archive. You can listen to them at your computer or download them to your MP3 player.

First Aiders
If you are a first aider, or medically trained, please let the office know if you would be happy to go on a list held at Christ Church.
 
CRB forms
Carolyn Lucas is updating CRB forms for all those who work with children (including Holiday club). If you had a CRB check done in 2003 it will need to be renewed. If you have not already been contacted please see Carolyn for a form.
Harvest Supper
Keep the date free - ever popular Barn Dance and Harvest Supper Saturday 4th October - more details to follow!
Eight Day Pilgrimage to the Holy Land
Stephen Kuhrt is part of organising this trip between Saturday 25th October and Saturday 1st November 2008. Depending on how many people come, the cost will be between £850 and £950. The booking deposit is £100. Speak to Stephen as soon as possible if you are interested. More details from the trip's website

Child Protection
May we assure families that as a church we employ a strict Child Protection Policy. All leaders who have contact with young people are screened by the police using the formal C.R.B. procedures. If you want any more information please contact the Vicar and Churchwardens.
