was held during the service on 27 April. Stephen took the opportunity to preach
(twice) on his vision for Christ Church's future in the coming year. You

Shaped Church Christ Church and St John's have two separate PCCs. They
each meet every month except April, August and December. Their role is to to join
with the clergy in promoting the whole mission of the Church, pastoral, evangelistic,
social and ecumenical, in the parish.

Sub CommitteesCertain aspects of the Council's work are delegated to sub-committees
which are listed below. Membership of these may include co-opted members of the
church who are not members of the Parochial Church Council. These sub-committees
report to the Parochial Church Council. - PCC Standing Committee

To conduct urgent business of the Parochial Church Council between normal PCC
meetings and any other business which the Council so decides.
- Christ
Church Committee
- To discuss matters affecting Christ Church, reporting
progress periodically and making recommendations to the PCC as necessary.
- St
John's Committee
- To be responsible for all aspects of the work of St
John's Church, reporting progress periodically and making recommendations to the
PCC as necessary
- Finance Committee
- To be responsible for the
formulation of the Parish budget and Annual Accounts and the monitoring of income
and expenditure. To consider the appropriate means of funding special items of
expenditure and to make recommendations to the PCC concerning other non-budgeted
items.
- Fabric Committee
- To supervise the care, maintenance and
preservation of the fabric, goods and ornaments of the various properties belonging
to the Parish. To consider, decide and recommend to the PCC such repair, maintenance
or improvement works as may be deemed necessary. To initiate and supervise the
execution of such work.
- Evangelism
Committee
- To oversee the evangelistic work of the Church, both within
the Parish and elsewhere and to advise on the development of evangelism.

Mission Support Group
- To formulate missionary policy proposals for presentation
to the PCC and to implement decisions made by them; to challenge, seek and encourage
Church members to fulfil our God-given missionary responsibilities.
